Michigan State Police

Job Type:  Communications, Power

Client Type:  Public Works

The new Michigan State Police headquarters’ addition is a hardened facility, making it tornado and explosion proof. Parkway provided electrical service for this new 30,000 square foot facility along with the 28,000 square foot remodel of the current building. Additionally, Parkway is overseeing the communications installation through a third party subcontractor.

The remodel includes a complete overhaul of the electrical system including new service and LED lighting. In addition to the complete electrical and communication installations, the new hardened facility also includes two backup generators.

Also worth noting is that Parkway is participating in the BETA project with MIOSHA relative to daily job safety analysis in conjunction with Daniels/Christman, the joint venture as general contractor for the project.
