Located in Downtown Kalamazoo, the Exchange Building is a beautiful 15 story multi-use building with retail space, parking, apartments, and more.
Our team worked with the Byce Architects as a design-assist to create a final drawing which allowed us to keep a certain cost amount.
Some key challenges of this project were the fact that it was all high tension concrete in a tight space downtown.
To do our rough-ins we used a Trimble system that coordinated with the BIM drawings to pinpoint locations of walls and floor boxes long before those were physically available.
Our communications team installed cameras, access control systems, data cabling, and emergency phone systems.
